Kinze Robotic Welder in Williamsburg, Iowa

Contributes to the manufacturing process by producing efficient and quality welds, utilizing robotic welds, for a variety of applications.


  • Responsible for the operation of the robotic welder’s amine work pieces for defects and measure weldments with straightedges, tape measurers or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

  • Operate and effectively use common hand and power tools including but not limited to; pneumatic grinder, wrenches, hammers, pliers, etc.

  • Performs maintenance to welding area equipment and tools. Will be responsible for tasks such as; changing contact tips, troubleshooting wire feeding mechanisms, changing wire drums and spools, etc.

  • The welder must work with area lead-men to ensure the area runs efficiently so production needs can be met. Duties would include, but are not limited to; alerting necessary persons if critical material shortages are seen, bring to attention quality issues, etc.

  • Welders must be able to effectively communicate welding issues to the Kinze Manufacturing Engineering Department to make improvements to existing production weldments by observing deficiencies and suggesting ideas for improvement.


  • Must have 1-2 years manufacturing experience.

  • Robotic welding experience is a plus.

  • Must have technical aptitude and the ability to read blue prints.

  • Must have basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and fraction to decimal conversions.

  • Advanced problem solving and communication skills are preferred.

  • Must be comfortable operating common hoisting equipment including jib and overhead cranes.

  • Must have demonstrated work ethic and work habits that would adhere to company policies.
