Kinze Robotic Welder in Williamsburg, Iowa
Contributes to the manufacturing process by producing efficient and quality welds, utilizing robotic welds, for a variety of applications.
Responsible for the operation of the robotic welder’s amine work pieces for defects and measure weldments with straightedges, tape measurers or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
Operate and effectively use common hand and power tools including but not limited to; pneumatic grinder, wrenches, hammers, pliers, etc.
Performs maintenance to welding area equipment and tools. Will be responsible for tasks such as; changing contact tips, troubleshooting wire feeding mechanisms, changing wire drums and spools, etc.
The welder must work with area lead-men to ensure the area runs efficiently so production needs can be met. Duties would include, but are not limited to; alerting necessary persons if critical material shortages are seen, bring to attention quality issues, etc.
Welders must be able to effectively communicate welding issues to the Kinze Manufacturing Engineering Department to make improvements to existing production weldments by observing deficiencies and suggesting ideas for improvement.
Must have 1-2 years manufacturing experience.
Robotic welding experience is a plus.
Must have technical aptitude and the ability to read blue prints.
Must have basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and fraction to decimal conversions.
Advanced problem solving and communication skills are preferred.
Must be comfortable operating common hoisting equipment including jib and overhead cranes.
Must have demonstrated work ethic and work habits that would adhere to company policies.
