What does an exceptional Window System Administrator do?

As a Windows System Administrator, you will assist in the implementation of Internet/Intranet-ba?sed? applications and software as well as management of server base operating systems. You will be primarily responsible for maintaining and upgrading servers and infrastructure components, as well as providing operational support. This responsibility also includes handling Server, Routers, Switches, VPN endpoints, Firewalls, Wireless Access Points and identifying appropriate courses of action to ensure Network efficiency and security.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day management and triaging of network and server systems in a shift environment. (A: Shift 8am – 5pm local time)

  • Maintain and upgrade servers and infrastructure components, as well as provide operational support.

  • Assist with implementation and post-implementation support for Internet/Intranet-ba?sed? applications.

  • Assist with the layout design and building collaborates with other Internet/Intranet or client/server software applications.

  • Assist with research and evaluating the selection of Internet/Intranet tools and technologies.•Develop and maintain operational procedures; document test results; and make recommendations for improvements when applicable.

  • Analyze Web application traffic patterns and recommend necessary changes.

  • Ensure Website standards are maintained.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and all applicable technologies, including programming, security issues etc.

  • Champion the maintenance of policies, procedures, measures, and mechanisms to protect the integrity and availability of the network.

  • Install and configure hardware and software including OS, patches and update

  • Design, implement, monitor and maintain Windows infrastructure to support business needs, capacity and performance requirements

  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP infrastructure.

  • Evaluate potential hardware and software acquisitions in order to assure compliance with Network policies and procedures.

  • Requires good social and communication skills, including the ability to provide ongoing end user training and be an excellent teammate.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in MIS, CIS, EE, or equivalent degree. Will consider Windows System Administration experience in lieu of degree.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3+ years experience with Windows 2012 Server, IIS and SQL administration.

Strong knowledge Microsoft Office and desktop applications.

Experience with applications, and hardware support as well as an understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, OWA, LDAP.

Server hardware, application support, and infrastructure knowledge.

Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.

Ability to provide afterhours operational support.

Understand and relate data communications principles, practices, and restrictions.

Preferred knowledge of the following is beneficial though not required:

Related industry experience with multiple platforms, including knowledge and experience of internet banking applications.

Familiar with security, Internet Architecture, Routing, DNS, Firewalls, Load Balancing, connectivity, scalability, WWW, or E-commerce.

Microsoft SQL Server or other database operations

Knowledge of how to document upkeep and maintenance.

Technology certifications ( MCITP, MCSA, MCTIP, A+, Network+)
