Athene Third Party Administration (TPA) Operations Sr Specialist in West Des Moines, Iowa

The Third Party Administration (TPA) Operations Sr Specialist works with Third Party Administrators (TPAs), business partners and business stakeholders across the company.
Works independently with minimal direction
Monitors financial and nonfinancial TPA transactions to ensure accurate reporting on monthly service performance reports and audit requirements
Provide oversight, training and assistance to TPA Specialists
Handles Monthly Service Calls with TPAs
Researches and responds to general requests and inquiries from internal stakeholders, TPAs, agents & some policyowners about products, processes, policy information, within required turnaround times
Conducts research to identify root causes of service issues and errors, monitor trends, identify recurring issues, and determine appropriate corrective action to prevent future occurrences at TPAS
Review test results of system changes/process improvements at TPAs & approve move to production, suggest changes to system when needed
Assists in the development and documentation of internal/external processes, policies & procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
3+ years of professional experience required, with annuities and pension experience strongly preferred
Skilled at creative thinking, decision analysis, problem solving, and systems thinking
Ability to demonstrate experience in identifying, researching, quantifying and developing logical and creative solutions to problems
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Leadership & management skills
Skilled at managing and addressing conflict
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office suite
Builds and fosters relationships with key contacts throughout the organization
Works effectively with all levels of the organization
Works effectively with outside consultants and vendors
Able to influence without formal authority
Willing to consider candidates at higher level dependent upon qualifications and experience.
