TitleOutsource BuyerEOE StatementCategoryPurchasingDescriptionCompetitively bid, evaluate, and order machined parts based on project or manufacturing requirements.Provide assistance to Sales, Applications, and Project Management by providing the component cost estimates required for the completion of quotations and proposals.Arrange for the disposition of nonconforming parts.Manage delivery of outsourced components to ensure uninterrupted engineering/fabrication schedules including providing delivery information and expediting orders for project management.Maintain purchasing records using standard accounting procedures as dictated by the Purchasing Manager.Purchase machined parts for projects.Provide assistance for shipping and receiving procedures.Review requisitions.Confer with vendors to obtain price and delivery schedule.Prepare purchase orders or bid requests. Review bid proposals within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.Maintain manual or computerized procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.Confer with personnel, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services, determine corrective action and verify that such action has been completed.Track and record receipt of purchased materials.Position Requirements1. Expertise in blueprint reading.2. Proficiency in the use of precision measurement devices.3. Competence in shop mathematics, including trigonometric and algebraic functions.4. Basic knowledge of fluid power, electrical, and electronic systems.5. Advanced knowledge of machining/manufacturing processes, assembly procedures and mechanical functions.6. Exceptional organization and planning skills.7. Proficiency with computers and computer software including but not limited to the Microsoft Suite, purchasing, scheduling, and ERP systems.8. Ability to multitask and transition between multiple activities flawlessly.9. Capability to retrieve or gather information, interpret the information, and select the option/s that best fits the situation.10. ISO or quality management system experience preferred.11.
