You have selected to complete a profile at Waterloo Works School-to-Work for the Skilled Trades Hawkeye Community College - Industrial Mechanic program. Industrial Mechanics perform all electrical/electronic maintenance and repair to facilities and production equipment in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment. In addition, they are expected to:
Perform all mechanical maintenance and repairs to production equipment in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment.
Troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems following strict safety practices and - OSHA regulations.
Perform tasks necessary to support operations in a team environment.
Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
Work with minimal supervision.
Supply own tools.
Work shifts (choice of shift based on seniority)
You may only continue the process if you have been admitted into the selected program at Hawkeye Community College. A representative from the college would have notified you by a letter on the appropriate steps to take to complete the John Deere School-to-Work process.
If you continue the process and have not been admitted in the program you will automatically be withdrawn from the process.
