Title: Staff Engineer, Toolchain Software - 69864
This position is currently eligible for a telework and/or a compressed workweek arrangement. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes. This arrangement is subject to change.
This position will initially be tasked with the writing of requirements and development of E32-BSP for engine control (working together with the global infrastructure and tools organization). Subsequently, this role will be part of a team that will maintain and release a superset version of E32-BSP and the codegen-to-target tool (Tellus) that manages it.
Gather, write, and allocate requirements to E32-BSP (Deere’s internally developed, OpenRTOS based, middleware) development teams. Work closely with NGEC SW team and FOCUS controls tools team to gather JDPS specific needs and requirements to ensure alignment.
As necessary develop the additional functions that will allow E32-BSP to fully support engine control and contribute these back to E32-BSP development team for broader use and sustainability.
Coordinate efforts with NGEC team to allow for the integration and periodic release process of E32-BSP integrated with the Tellus tool.
Provide necessary translation tools or scripts to allow for the transition of NGEC components from AUTOSAR BSW to E32-BSP.

7 or more years m-script experience.
Substantial experience using XSLT/XPath.
7 or more years Simulink experience.
Advanced knowledge of embedded middleware architecture and concepts.
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field. Advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience in developing embedded middleware and their ecosystems, including related PC tools
Physical modeling experience.
Experience mentoring technical staff.
