Conagra Brands, be part of building something BIG.The Packaging Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently carrying out all duties and responsibilities of the Hassia filler and downstream packaging equipment areas. All Technicians are responsible to each other to work as a team among all areas of the plant, but Packaging Technicians are specifically responsible for operating and maintaining the aseptic Form/Fill/Seal systems and supporting all of the responsibilities of operating and maintaining the secondary packaging equipment. The Packaging Technician will rotate among the different areas in the packaging area (i.e. Filler and downstream Packaging) on a regular and frequent basis. This position will report to and is assigned to a scheduled crew (i.e. "A", "B", "C", "D") working a rotating 2-2-3 work schedule. In event of this person's absence, coverage will be provided.Essential Job Functions: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)Packaging:Obtains supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.Checks the production schedule for up-coming products and set-up the case packer as required.Performs daily safety checks of the assigned Forklifts in accordance with company policy.Ensures rolls of wrap, glue chips and full pallets of the correct case blanks (corrugated) are available in the staging area.Positions pallets of case blanks to the line, cuts the banding, removes the wrapping and places in the proper receptacle.Fills the machine magazine with case blanks, loads sleeves and checks case codes against work sheet.Monitors the case packing process, shrink-wrap, line conveyors, fills glue pots, removes non-conforming product and fixes jams as needed.Performs quality checks on cups, packaging, case codes and labels as required.Prepares and completes changeover activities.Troubleshoots production equipment, conveyors, palletizers, robots, etc. and replaces, repairs, adjusts and modifies electrical, mechanical or hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and performs scheduled preventative maintenance duties as required.Performs general housekeeping duties in work area and on the forklift and charges battery on forklift as needed.Performs appropriate end-of-shift procedures, secures all equipment and machinery, picks up and puts away tools / organizes tool boards, completes all required paperwork and confers with next shift's crew.Performs sanitation of the equipment as well environmental cleaning of the Packaging areas.Hassia:Prepares lines for product materials according to production schedule and any up-coming flavor changes as required.Prepares the machine for and initiates the sequence of events that makes the equipment sterile. Strictly adheres to aseptic procedures, system monitoring, and documentation are necessary to ensure commercial sterility of filling equipment.Monitors the fill process for fill weights/leakers; make adjustments as necessary and obtains samples to perform tests (i.e.vacuum chamber, burst tester, and digital weigh scale).Monitors the cup form / fill / seal process; lid seal / peel integrity, checks seal flange for damage, lid material and cup wall thickness.Troubleshoots form/fill/seal production equipment, scrap conveyor and discharge conveyor.Repairs, adjusts and modifies electrical, mechanical or hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and performs scheduled preventative maintenance duties as required.Performs breakdown, wash-down and CIP's/ SIP's as required or scheduled and changes filler heads on fillers.Removes smashed cups, waste/scrap materials, and hoses down spills.Completes changeovers and set-ups as needed.Assists other crew members wit
