Function: Manufacturing Engineering
Title: Part-Time Student-Robot Application Engineering-Waterloo IA - 71233
The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.
Robot programming; includes writing, debugging, troubleshooting code
Process simulation development and analysis (flexsim and roboguide)
Assisting team with HMI (Human Machine Interface) programming tasks
Assisting team with controls engineering tasks including schematic generation, specifying and ordering components, and troubleshooting issues.
Gathering, sorting and maintaining spare part inventory in the robotics lab
What Skills You Need
Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Engineering/Industrial Technology/Computer Science; others may apply
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university (Hawkeye, UNI, Wartburg, etc)
If currently attending a community college must plan to pursue a 4-year degree
Graduation date of May 2023 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
16-20 hours/week during the academic year
35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
What Makes You Stand Out
Programming experience, irrespective of level
Experience with simulation software or simulating processes
Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) software
Problem solving, observation, and analysis skills
Willingness to learn, adapt and take initiative
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
