Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

This position is responsible for the live turkey load out on all company and contract farms. This position is responsible to monitor the loading start and stop times, the feed withdrawal procedures, and the movement between barns. This position must ensure all safety procedures are followed, trucks are loaded in a timely manner, and new hires are provided the necessary ramp-in training for turkey loading processes. This position must communicate in a professional manner with the loading crews, growers, truck drivers, and management. This position must complete weekly safety agenda to ensure compliance and understanding. This position required 20 20 or corrected vision and be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. This position must perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by the department supervisor and or management. Key measureable results are to maintain required pounds per man hour, zero recordable accidents, zero downtime due to trucks not being loaded efficiently or arriving late to plant, and wing bruises to be better than the average in Intellimetrics. Position must attain and maintain 98% attendance.

Requirements

Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered. Must have a valid Iowa driver s license and have driving records that are consistent with Tyson Foods Fleet Safety Guidelines. Bilingual in English and Spanish and mechanical experience is preferred. Candidate must be willing to submit to a drug screen and physical.
