Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

This position will be responsible for the maintenance of the Feed Mill during designated working hours (approx. 45 hours per week) and will be on call 24 7 with possible scheduled weekend work. Perform repairs as well as preventive maintenance to all production equipment, including ingredient legs, pellet mill, boiler, etc. Troubleshoot repairs and incidents and determine first contact for help. Develop key maintenance protocol under the Feed Mill management direction (Maintenance log, Preventative Maintenance log, Trouble Shooting Guidelines, Downtime Tracking log, etc.). Learn the feed making process and assist operations when needed. Accurately perform or assist in performing physical inventories on a variety of commodities. Assist with finished feed loadout as necessary. Assist in sanitation duties as necessary. Must be able to read and understand manuals. Must have good math skills along with basic computer skills, emphasis on Excel, Word while executing and documenting work completed. A Class A CDL is preferred but not required. Must be able to bend, climb, twist, lift and able to work in all environments of the feed mill facility.
