LifeServe Blood Center SC Component Technician 1 in Sioux City, Iowa

Want to develop a career in a growing field while helping to save lives? LifeServe Blood Center currently has a full-time opening as a Component Lab Technician I in our Sioux City, IA location. In this position, you will be working in our state-of-the-art laboratory preparing blood donations for hospital patients by manufacturing blood products into the specific blood components to treat the patient's need.

Employees in this position are eligible for a full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, critical illness and supplemental insurance. Approximately 3 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) will start to accrue on day 1, as well as an employer-matched retirement program.

Primary Responsibilities for this Position Include: *Perform component manufacturing procedures according to established policy and SOP. *Perform review of component manufacturing and equipment related documentation and release of quality control results. *Perform and document calibration and maintenance tasks. *Identify, troubleshoot and document problems that may influence the quality or completion of manufacturing. *Assist with writing, review and evaluation of SOPs. *Assist with validation of new equipment and manufacturing processes. *Maintains regular attendance and availability *Maintains confidentiality of LifeServe Blood Center donor, employee, financial and proprietary records and information at all times. *Ability to multi-task and set priorities is essential. *Demonstrate qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment to the organization's mission. *Demonstrate professional behavior at all times.
