Seeking a Middleware support analyst with Cerner EMR experience.

Under general supervision, is responsible for the technical support of the electronic medical record (EMR) system using a

combination of technical and business skills.

Utilizes specialized programming and knowledge to configure and maintain EMR programs, operations jobs, application

interface connectivity, or servers. Responsible for participating in the creation / refresh of EMR domains and installation

/ maintenance of the EMR software code library.

Manages and resolves EMR technical issues.

Provides technical support to ensure the EMR application is available for use.

• Daily maintenance, system monitoring and problem resolution for the electronic medical record (EMR)

middleware, including printing, application servers, interfaces, and other tasks to support operations

• Collaborates with the database staff to independently create new domains or refresh current domains

• Creates and supports EMR programs, operations jobs, and other HPUX program queries

• Creates and initiates back end queries and reports as needed to troubleshoot issues

• Provides 24x7 EMR technical / ops support for all production middleware issues, and works with the

other staff and vendor as needed to ensure resolution

• Monitors all EMR domains for middleware / backend issues, and works with the application and

database team to troubleshoot / resolves issues

• Coordinates activities with vendor, database staff, and application staff as needed

• Manages the EMR software code library to ensure accuracy and consistency across all domains, and

installs EMR software independently

• With assistance, able to create and modify queries or scripts

• Other Duties as assigned

Candidates should be prepared to be part of a multifunctional team and provide support where needed.

A minimum of 1 year experience with operational support and maintenance of EMR systems is required. This should

include support of the system’s middleware, installation of software, troubleshooting technical issues, and creation of


A minimum of 1 year experience with LINUX, UNIX, or AIX is preferred, preferably in a healthcare setting with the Cerner

EMR application

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.

CCL experience and working knowledge of Oracle or other relational databases is preferred.
