Price Electric BIM Modeler - Electrical in Robins, Iowa

The BIM Technician works closely with the Pre-Construction Department, project managers, and field staff to ensure model content meets expectations and timelines. For the right candidate, this position could be a stepping stone for growth and development in the PRICE ELECTRIC pre-construction department.
What You’ll Do:
Model and coordinate electrical layouts and design per contract documents.
Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
Follow BIM content standards and development procedures.
Print drawing sets for professional teams and participates in discipline reviews.
Produce installation and shop drawings.
Ensure LOD meets contract requirements.
Check work for accuracy before next-level review.
Self-schedules tasks to meet deliverables and maintains a high attention to detail.
Lead modeling efforts on projects working with support modelers to complete deliverables.
What You’ll Need to be Successful:
Skill in interpreting 2D plans, diagrams and blueprints electronically or hard copy
Produce appropriate working design documents from verbal and general written direction.
Understanding of 3-D coordination with other trades
Take verbal and general written direction well and turn that direction into appropriate, working design documents.
Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
Oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Procore, and Bluebeam
What You Bring to Us:
Associate degree preferred in computerized drafting field.
Three years of MEP construction experience preferred.
Minimum 2 years experience with installation of electrical raceway and components.
Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
