Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

The team member is responsible for the maintenance of all equipment associated with but not limited to the production floors, rendering, yards, waste water, and any other equipment assigned. This includes but not limited to doing PM s, making adjustments and repairs to equipment, troubleshooting electrical problems and being able to do all types of wiring, all types of welding and using an acetylene torch, must be able to fabricate, use hand and power tools and maintenance shop tools, clean drains, climb ladders, and work off various heights and surfaces. Must be able to work assigned shifts and weekends. Must be able to read and understand manuals, execute and document work completed on scheduling sheet. Must be willing to obtain Forklift, Lockout Tagout, and Confined Space Certification and work in confined spaces. Must be willing to train and receive Hazmat Response Certification. Hazmat Response requires the use of full face respirator and self-contained breathing apparatus with level A suit. The team member will work around and with chemicals. They will be assigned to rotating 12-hour shifts. The temperature of the work area could be as low as 40 or as high as 100 depending on the area in which the job is performed. Must
