The Maintenance Management System Specialist provides lead technical, business support and analysis for the organization’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) inclusive of support of asset management, work planning and spare parts inventory within the software. This role coordinates the interface of the CMMS system, procedures and data transfer to various departments and databases, while ensuring CMMS procedures are developed and followed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Exhibit the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors.

  2. Manage CMMS and related process for maintenance, fleet, EHS and facilities teams. This may include building reports, setting up security, user training, and troubleshooting.

  3. Work through maintenance and software issues with the IT team. Lead efforts for improvements in the system and the integration with other enterprise systems,

  4. Assist with software testing, revision updates and implementation.

  5. Manage asset information in the CMMS.

  6. Maintain the maintenance intranet site.

    Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or technical field preferred.

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience with system integrations and or technical support.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to delegate work to team members.

  • Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of fractions, percentages and ratios.

  • Apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and statistical quality control.

  • Ability to perform intermediate Microsoft Office functions.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving techniques and root cause analysis.

  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action for a given situation.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and instruct others on issues such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to train others in niche areas.

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, MRP systems, value streams, and lean processes.

  • Ability to effectively manage time to meet department, production, and company schedules.

  • Demonstration of good oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers.
