TheManager of Information Systems (MIS) Specialistresponsible for the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, access controls, and enablement of students to apply basic information technology to the development of their academic and career technical skills, needed for employment and job retention.
Provides End User Orientation at New Hire/Enrollment to include but not limited to CDSS/DOL System Securities, Policies, Access & Software Applications.
Provides End User training during Professional Development.
Provides End User training at CTR to include but not limited to Job Hunting/Social Media.
Administration of CDSS Securities necessary to meet JCDC & QAPP guidelines, and to assure Segregation of Duties.
Ensures implementation, Warranty, and continued Maintenance of Computer Hardware, Telephones, Peripherals, and Networks.
Administration of Internal Applications necessary for operations: i.e., POC Admin, OPAC, CIS, Public facing web page, Dental Software, and Report Exec, etc.
Administration of Electronic property temporarily assigned to OTP/IHCC students and loaned equipment to staff.
Develop and maintain job aids, checklists and standards of work necessary for Center support and IS Protocol/Operations.
Maintains Physical Security Camera, ID Badge systems and Access Controls
Supports Center digital displays, cell phone plan, cable services and copier contracts.
Responsible to the JCDC as Point of Contact (POC) for all End User Technical Assistance needed from Center.
Responsible to the JCDC for Hardware and Software upgrades, to include Patches and Service Packs and Imaging.
Responsible to the JCDC for Enhancement requests and implementation of new initiatives, i.e., Efolder and eTAR.
Involvement with other duties: PNC/GGI (Force field), Student Pay Call, Community Meetings, Award Ceremonies, etc.
Participate in pilot programs offered by the JCDC and ongoing efforts to keep up to date on technology.
Backup support as needed for NCI.
Assist students with resume development, job search strategies, and utilize Labor Market Information (LMI) and other resources to develop placement support efforts tailored to meet the needs and qualifications of each individual student
Minimum: Associate of Arts degree in relevant field and one year of work-related experience and demonstrated knowledge/skills/abilities working with computers and software.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or relevant field and three years’ of work-related
