In doing so, the Production Operator will comply with all Valent Biosciences' policies and procedures and perform all tasks assigned in a safe manner. The Production Operator will be accountable for meeting quality and production expectations.Shift Schedule:i2nd shift -- 3:00 PM to 11:30 PMPrincipal Responsibilities:iSupport and comply with all VB's safety and environmental training policies and programs.iEffectively operate all current and future equipment / job functions in the area assigned.iAdjust equipment with assistance from Production Specialist/ Production Engineer to achieve highest process capabilities.iUse computerized operator interface to monitor and make adjustments to critical equipment.iWork at varying elevations.iPerform minor equipment maintenance (Preventative maintenance, monitoring for leaks, etc.).iKeep a neat and clean work environment.iComplete required documentation.iClean, sterilize and operate fermenters and filtration equipment.iPerform in-process testing.iManually operate valves etc.iRequired to walk, climb stairs, lift up to 50 lbs., open and close valves, stand and sit.iMay be assigned to Emergency Response Team.iFollow VB ISO9001 quality standardsiMay work shift work.iMust be able to work in extreme temperatures.iPerform processes wearing a full face respirator.Education/Experience:iPrefer an Associate Degree in a Natural Sciences field or related experience.iMust be able to use computerized interfaces.iMust be able to obtain industrial truck license (valid driveris license required).
