AIM Aerospace, Inc. Quality Assurance Technician in Orange City, Iowa

General Position Summary:

Daily inspection of Final product and inspection of in-process products.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Performs inspection of Final product and processes throughout the production facility using gauges, calipers, and other measuring and visual tools.

  • Prepare and review documents for shipping.

  • Advise team members during development phases of potential Quality needs for the development of new products.

  • Provide support and trouble-shooting to team members during discrepancies around product quality standards.

  • Support team lead in documenting and resolving product hold or scrap issues on tags or in Plex, including use of problem solving techniques.

  • Record keeping of inspection results where required.

  • Perform other duties within quality assurance department or production departments as needed or assigned.

Specific Job Skills:

  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise work instructions.

  • Effective and oral written communication.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma/Ged is required; Associates degree in related field is a plus

1-3 years related work experience is desired, but willing to train qualified candidates.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to precarious places and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate requiring hearing protection in certain areas. PPE is provided by AIM based on the employee’s position and exposure.
