MED-TEC IOWA INC Production Planner in ORANGE CITY, Iowa

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)Monitor inventory levels relative to customer demand.Develop production and quality inspection schedules and priorities, release manufacturing orders, analyze and provide customer order lead-times.Effective utilization of internal manufacturing capacity while maintaining high customer service levels and inventory turns.Without supervision, execute manufacturing order inventory transactions, order audit analysis, and order close-out.Assist in CO material disposition planning and execute those plans.Work to reduce inventory levels while balancing customer expectations of delivery times.Communicate outliers with the buying team and customer service team promptly to allow agile responses to demand peaks, production constraints, and component part shortages.Provide leadership, coordination, and input for purchasing and production control process improvement projects.Provide back-up coverage as Production Control sign-off for CO and MRB decisions. Efficient and cost effective purchasing and production control systems.Be responsive to the Change Notification (CN) process, MAPICS input sheets, and other needs to ensure production and engineering flows continue efficiently.Ensure purchasing and production control systems and procedures are implemented as required to follow all FDA/ISO, CE, and MHW requirements.Provide proper responses to internal and external audit findings for purchase and production control systems meet regulatory requirements.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Three to five years of experience in production, manufacturing, or planning; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Other Useful Skills and AbilitiesAbility to make quick, effective decisions. Good written and oral communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proven analysis and project execution skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
