Position Overview:The Redi-Mix Plant Manager is responsible to manage employees and production at a Redi-Mix Plant, in addition to following safety and operational guidelines, checking for concrete quality and loading according to tickets and maintain courteous customer relations. The Redi-Mix Plant Manager is a full time position, requires regular travel and overtime with occasional weekends through peak season. This position reports to the Redi-Mix Regional Manager and has supervisory responsibility.For more information regarding this position, contact Adam at 608-792-5783.General Duties and Functions:Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules and projectsBe aware of and familiar with the Company Handbook and abide by the employment policies and regulationsEnsure equipment preventative maintenance is performed timely, thoroughly and correctly at all timesTeach, coach and work with team in a constructive mannerConsistently promote professionalism, safety and efficiencyActively participate in any recommended or mandatory trainingsMake safety the main priority while working on equipmentEnsure all equipment in operation meets or exceeds all DOT standardsMaintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and managementAdditional duties as assigned by management, as this job description is non-exhaustiveWillingness to perform duties outside normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours)Essential Duties and Functions:Batch concrete using manual and computerized systems, such as Alkons Spectrum, Command Batch software, and Rice Lake Batch ControllerTroubleshoot problems in a dry batch concrete plant and with rear discharge mixersProcess customer orders and determine yardageSchedule available trucks to meet the ordersCommunicate professionally with customers and have ability to attract future businessHave a basic knowledge of concrete finishing problems and their causesTrain, motivate and give direction and discipline to employees under their supervisionSelf-motivated and have ability to solve problems as they ariseOrder and coordinate deliveries from our suppliers as well as internal inventoryUtilize your working knowledge of various ACI testsFollow direction from managementPromote a safe work environment while facilitating weekly management and safety meetingsBalance profitability with business reinvestmentMaintain and account for all equipment that is assigned to their plantAddress employee grievances and issue discipline as necessaryResponsible for office administrative duties including, but not limited to payroll, invoice approvals, ticketing and managing inventoryCross-train with applicable positionsPosition Requirements:Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screenMust be able to pass a drug testConsent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record requestUp to one year of mechanical experienceClass B CDL Experience with Microsoft Office toolsHigh level of reasoning abilities (i.e. Meeting deadlines, Prioritize Company and customer needs, serve as a leader to both peers and direct reports)Basic mathematical skills (i.e. Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide)Possess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formsPreferred Skills and Knowledge:OSHA TrainingFabrication skillsLoader experience Physical Requirements:The physical requirements to successfully perform the job functions are:Ability to reach below/at/above shouldersPushing/PullingTwisting/BendingSitting/Standing/BalancingOperate hand and foot controlsSimple/Firm graspingAbility to carry over 50 poundsAbility to lift/lower over 50 poundsSquatting/Stooping/CrouchingKneeling/CrawlingGross manipulation (pinching)Cro
