TRIMARK CORPORATION Plating A Operator (zinc) 3rd Shift in NEW HAMPTON, Iowa

$500 sign on bonus $500 after successful completion of 6 month evaluation period.Starting wage $17.02 and $2.00 shift differential.Job ObjectivePerforms all phases of the Chrome Process and ensures that we are getting the product through the process safely, consistently, while meeting the quality appearance and standards that are in place for all product.Duties and ResponsibilitiesiiFollows work schedule to ensure jobs are started and completed on time. iPerforms and monitors plating line performance. iFollows process procedures as instructed (Work Instructions, Process Sheets and any other form).iiPerforms Setup and Shutdown procedures. iMaintains work area in a clean and orderly condition using 5S principles to minimize safety hazards and lost-time accidents.iKeeps accurate job and time records when requirediFollows safety procedures and policies at all times. iPerforms other duties as assigned.iMaintains a good attendance record.iProvides information to the Manufacturing Manager, Manufacturing Coordinator, Process Engineer, and Maintenance when issues arise, within a timely manner to ensure that we arenit putting people, equipment, or product in danger. iHelps determine causes of operating errors and helps finds a solution to address. iConveying information to others effectively. iFollows Quality Policy and standards. iiThe position is responsible to ensure the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System which includes but not limited to significant environmental aspects, compliance obligations and environmental risks.iResponsible to perform his or her job functions in a manner that supports TriMark's mission, vision and values in order for the company to attain its strategic and growth goals.Skills, Abilities, and Experience RequiredSkill to perform all phases of plating and related procedures such as calculations, etc.Previous experience in plating.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions or special instructions related to the plating process.Ability to work cooperatively with other employees.Judgment RequiredTo operate a forklift and other machinery in a safe manner.To determine quality and appearance of completed work and make recommendations which will improve overall results.Core CompetenciesiSet Up and Machine Programming iSet Up and program production equipment with good manufacturing practices and operating procedures. iPerforming shutdown and startup procedures on department specific equipment.iDepartmental paperwork.iEnsure all job information is loaded into JDE correctly.iEnsure all reports such as scrap and uptime/downtime are filled out correctly.iEnsure shift report is completed. iEnsures that everyone is following work instructions.iTroubleshootingi Determine causes or operating errors and finding a solution on how to address. iDetermine root cause of quality issues and determine solutions or steps to fix.iDetermine safety issues as well as safety improvements. iInstructingiTeaching others how to perform or do something so they understand.iEnsuring that everyone is following safety rules such as PPE.iEnsuring that everyone knows where they need to be and what they are supposed to be doing. iCommunicationiConveying information to others effectively. iUnderstanding measuring gages.iNeed to understand how to use correct measuring tools to gage parts such as calipers, gage pins, or any other specialty gages needed to ensure part quality. iiiQuality StandardsiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiWorking ConditionsMust be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet the companyis business demands.Exposure to hazards of chemicals used in the plating process, fume build-up, and wet conditions.i The temperature is normal for the season and noise levels are 80-90.Uniform safety practices consist of safety shoes, safety glasses, other devices such as gloves, aprons, and face shields as required for operations.i Eating and drinking is prohibited in this
