$250 Sign on Bonus. $250 bonus after successful completion of 6 month evaluation period.$2.00 Shift Differential. Job ObjectiveTo set up and operate a trim press in the timely production of parts consistent with established quality standards and plant schedules.iDuties and ResponsibilitiesiReceives work assignment and clarifies any uncertainty about what is to be done.iSets up the trim press and makes adjustments to minimize safety hazards and help achieve highest level of quality production possible. Assists with the set up of the die cast machine as needed.iOperates the trim press to produce quality- finished parts, which meet established standards.iCheck first few pieces for general quality and monitors quality of parts regularly to minimize time consuming sorting, waste, and/or remelt.iNotifies lead-person and/or other qualified person of machine problems or recurring difficulties promptly.iProvides information to maintenance and the tool room to assist in diagnosing equipment or tooling problems.iKeeps accurate time and job records.iMaintains work area in a clean and orderly condition using 5S principles to minimize safety hazards and lost time accidents.iFollows established safety procedures and policies at all times.iMaintains a good attendance record.iPerforms other duties as assigned.iThis position supports the continual improvement and compliance of QMS and EMS.iResponsible to perform his or her job functions in a manner that supports TriMark's mission, vision and values in order for the company to attain its strategic and growth goals.iSkills, Abilities and Experience RequirediSkill to set up and operate hydraulic trim presses which can be learned on the job.iAbility to follow verbal and written instructions or special instructions related to changes in procedures for die cast.iAbility to work cooperatively with other employees.iJudgment RequirediTo determine general quality of finished die cast products.iTo perform basic machine setup and adjustments as required.iTo operate a forklift and other machinery in a safe manner.iTo provide assistance to new personnel as requested.iCore CompetenciesPerform Startup and Shutdown proceduresiEnsure that they can shut down or startup equipment with good manufacturing practices, operating procedures and safety procedures.iRead and Understand Work InstructionsiEnsure that all work instructions are understood before performing the tasks.iCommunicationiConveying information to others effectively.Quality StandardsiTroubleshootingiDetermine causes of operating errors and finding a solution on how to address. iDetermine root cause of quality issues and determine solutions or steps to fix.iDetermine safety issues as well as safety improvements.iWorking ConditionsiMust be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet the companyis business demands.iiExposure to hazards of machine operation and molten zinc.i Some contact with oils, lubricants and coolant necessary for the operation of the die cast machines.i The work area is damp and the temperature is above normal.i The noise level exceeds 95db.iUniform safety practices consist of pull on safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other devices as required.i This area requires normal or corrected vision, normal depth perception and peripheral vision of 180 degrees, and no color deficiency.iPhysical EffortiBending -Knee levelStooping -5% of timeSquatting -NoneTwisting -90 degreesTurning -180 degreesReaching -Full reachLifting -50# or lessPushing/Pulling -i50# or moreStanding -75% or moreSitting -5% or lessWalking -20% or lessClimbing -2 - 3 stepsGrasping -Moderatei dexterity
