Die Cast A Operator 3rd Shift$500 sign on bonus. $500 after successful completion of 6 month evaluation period.$2.00 Shift Differential. iiiJob ObjectiveiTo set up and operate a die cast machine, trim press and related equipment in the timely production of parts consistent with established quality standards and plant schedules.iiDuties and Responsibilitiesi1.Review work schedule to make sure of what jobs are to be started or completed.i2.Sets up machine and checks mold, air, water, and hot oil lines, shot pressure, and other adjustments to minimize safety hazards and help achieve highest level of quality production possible.i3.Test run the first few pieces for quality check and make adjustments as required to achieve full production capacity as quickly as possible.i4.Monitors quality of parts regularly to minimize time consuming sorting, waste and/or remelt.i5.Monitors production rates to see that they meet established standards.i6.Notifies lead person of recurring problems promptly.i7.Provides information to maintenance and the tool room to assist in diagnosing equipment or tooling problems.i8.Keeps accurate time and job records.i9.Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition using 5S principles to minimize safety hazards and lost time accidents.i10.Follows established safety procedures and policies at all times.i11.Maintains a good attendance record.i12.Performs other duties as assigned.i13.This position supports the continual improvement and compliance of QMS and EMS.i14.Responsible to perform his or her job functions in a manner that supports TriMark's mission, vision and values in order for the company to attain its strategic and growth goals.iiSkills, Abilities and Experience RequirediiSkill to set up and operate die cast machines, trim presses and related equipment which can be learned on the job.iAbility to follow verbal and written instructions or special instructions related to changes in procedures for die cast.iAbility to work cooperatively with other employees and give assistance to new personnel.iAbility to interpret manufacturing documents, including but not limited to blueprints, process sheets, daily job cards, operating/special instructions, etc. in a clear and concise manner.iJudgment RequirediTo perform basic machine setup and adjustments as required.iTo operate a forklift and other machinery in a safe manner.iTo determine, the overall quality of finished die cast products.iTo provide assistance to new personnel as requested.iiCore CompetenciesiiiSet Up and Machine Programmingi-Set Up and program production equipment with good manufacturing practices and operating proceduresi-Performing shutdown and startup procedures on department specific equipmentiiDepartmental paperworki-Ensure all job information is loaded into JDE correctlyi-Ensure all reports such as scrap and uptime/downtime are filled out correctlyi-Ensure shift report is completedi-Ensure that everyone is following work instructionsiiTroubleshootingi-Determine causes or operating errors and finding a solution on how to addressi-Determine root cause of quality issues and determining solutions or steps to fixi-Determine safety issues as well as safety improvementsiiInstructingi-Teach others how to perform or do something so they understandi-Ensure that everyone is following safety rules such as PPEi-Ensure that everyone knows where they need to be and what they are supposed to be doingiiCommunicationi-Convey information to others effectively.iiUnderstanding blueprints and measuring gagesi-Need to understand how to read blueprints and determine good or badi-Need to understand how to use correct measuring tools to gage parts such as calipers, gage pins, or any other specialty gages needed to ensure part qualityiiQuality StandardsiiWorking ConditionsiMust be available to work overtime and weekends as required, to meet the companyis business demands.iContinual exposure to hazards of machine operation and molten zinc.Some contact with oils, lubr
