2nd Shift: 4:00PM to 2:00AM Grindroom/Sanitation: Train in Plant 1 from 4:00PM to 2:00AM until Plant 2 open. Perform the Grindroom job for 5 to 6 hours a shift, then perform Sanitation duties for remainder of shift. Once Plant 2 is operating at full capacity, hours will be 2:00PM to 12:00AM.Monday thru Friday, +Weekends as Production Scheduled RequiresStarting Pay: $17.19 per hour, +$0.60 Shift Differential for 2nd ShiftAll team members must abide by all of Burke's plant safety rules!Grindroom Team MemberSupplies meat to the Grindroom from the meat receiving coolers via palletjackInspects productGrinds meatRemoves pallets and trash from the GrindroomOperates a metal detector belt and augerGrindroom/Sanitation Team MemberAll duties are as listed above but include additional sanitation duties. At the end of each shift, would perform tear-down and cleaning duties in the Grindroom. Additional sanitation duties are as follows:Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all production areas, including equipment, machinery, walls, floors, and ceilingsCleans excess meat from floor using a squeegee or shovelHoses down equipment and machinery with hot water hosesApplies foam to all surfaces in production areas; scrubs equipment and machinery; rinses foam from equipment and machinery; applies sanitizer and oil/air mixture to all surfacesReads and understands chemical warningsVacuums office areas; mops floor of laboratory and break room; cleans receiving dock; cleans restrooms and restocks bathroom suppliesDisassembles equipment for cleaning purposes; reassembles afterwardREQUIREMENTS:Able to learn and perform multiple positions (Training Provided)Able to work in temperatures of 40-50 degrees; 32 degrees when in the coolerAble to operate an electric pallet jack (Training Provided)Able to operate food processing equipment (Training Provided)Work around and with spicesAble to work in a fast-paced environmentLift up to 50lbs. Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of timeStanding, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, stepping up and downFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)Fill in for other plant positions as needed (Additional Training and Pay Provided for High Graded Jobs)Basic math skillsAny and all duties assigned by supervisorADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SANITATION:Work in temperatures of 32 to 50 degrees in the Grindroom and 100+ degrees during sanitation portion of jobPossess strong communication skillsWork in a moderately to highly strenuous work environmentClimbing ladders, scrubbing, moving on hands and kneesClimb in and under equipment to cleanHandle high-pressure hoses for long periods of timeAble to handle different chemicals regularlyQUALIFICATIONS:18 years or older6 months of work historyBurke Corporation is a leader in the production of pizza toppings and other fully cooked meats.
