The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for researching, engineering, and implementing infrastructure across company's global enterprise. The position will collaborate with various IT groups as well as other stakeholders to gain commitment and set strategic direction to enable and ensure consensus on the infrastructure road map and strategies. The Infrastructure Architect will provide technical leadership and consulting and should keep abreast of the latest infrastructure technologies and technological opportunities in order to maintain a business competitive advantage. This position assumes the ITSM role of Technical Domain Expert, Service Owner, Compliance Manager, Financial Manager, Process Owner, Security Manager, Service Continuity Manager, Service Owner, Supplier Manager, and Project Owner.
-Understanding, anticipating and influencing customer demand for infrastructure services and partnering with capacity management to ensure that infrastructure services have sufficient capacity to meet the required demand.
-Defining, analyzing, planning, measuring and improving all aspects of the availability of IT infrastructure services and ensuring that all IT infrastructure, processes, tools, roles etc. are appropriate for the agreed service level targets for availability.
-Ensuring that infrastructure services are able to deliver the agreed capacity and performance targets in a cost effective and timely manner and identifying the resources required to deliver the service, and plans for short, medium and long term business requirements
-Delivering specific infrastructure services within the agreed service levels and partnering with service level management to negotiate Operational Level Agreements (OLAs).
-Maintaining information about Configuration Items (CIs) required to deliver infrastructure services and designing and maintaining the logical model, containing the components of the IT infrastructure and their associations.
-Providing overall technical guidance and leadership in projects involving a variety of infrastructure technologies (e.g. cloud, storage, compute, network, etc.).
-Educating, consulting and influencing IT and business stakeholders to better understand existing infrastructure architecture risks, IT best practices, and infrastructure changes required to support business and IT strategies.
-Reviewing and assessing infrastructure solutions for specific challenges or risks, and guide business enabling IT investment.
-Developing, documenting and recommending plans for investing in IT infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
-Designing, developing and overseeing implementation of a global infrastructure architecture framework and standards.
-Developing and documenting in-depth knowledge of the organization's existing global infrastructure architecture environment to establish enterprise infrastructure baselines.
-Professionally representing the infrastructure team as a technical consultant on projects.
-Driving re-use and enterprise-wide thinking within initiatives and projects.
-Providing rationale for infrastructure architecture and design decisions.
-Researching and staying abreast of changes and the latest industry best practices and strategies regarding IT infrastructure and related services (e.g. cloud computing, IaaS, PaaS, managed services, etc.).
-Developing and presenting business cases and infrastructure architecture migration plans to management.
-Assisting with the assessment, planning and implementing systems and integrations related to M&A activities.
-Participating in other special projects and technology initiatives as required.

-4-year degree in engineering, IT or related field and/or equivalent technical experience, plus at least 6 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-Certifications in infrastructure related disciplines are strongly recommended.
-ITIL certification preferred.
-10+ years of experience in information technology focusing in domain specific technologies with 3 years of hands-on experience in providing strategic and architectural guidance to large scale IT projects
-3+ years of project management experience is preferred
-3+ years of practical knowledge and experience with ITIL principles and processes
-5+ years of experience with infrastructure architecture
-Experience with integrating High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities into virtual architectures
-Excellent well-rounded technical knowledge of a wide range of infrastructure technologies and methodologies
-Expertise in large-scale infrastructure, networking architectures and virtualization technologies as well as operational models for large systems
