$500 Bonus after ninety days

The primary function of the Senior Warehouse Management Technician is to assure the safety of all employees and ensure that safe working conditions exist in all areas while implementing continuous improvement plans to eliminate all work-related incidents. Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, policies, and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assure all standards are met and ensure compliance with all engineering specifications and certification agencies.

  • Plans and directs shipping activities and establishes loading priorities for products in keeping with effective operations, customer service and cost factors.

  • Control inventory, scrap, and metal utilization.

  • Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.

  • Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine cause of nonconformity with product specifications and operating of production problems.

  • Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.

  • Work with production control supervisor to revise production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure of operating systems.

  • Consults with maintenance personnel relative to modifications of machines and equipment to improve production and quality of products.

  • Assist and mentor the development of those employees identified as possible candidates for future advancement using training programs, educational opportunities and mentoring to better qualify them for current and future positions within the company.

  • Confer with management to uphold company policies, maintain superior employee relations, and attain companywide goals.

  • Compile, store and retrieve shipping data.

  • Oversee Warehouse department and its team

  • Perform and direct special projects as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read, write and comprehend various documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and simple correspondence, Also, the ability to communicate knowledge and information (in both large/small group situations) to employees at all levels.

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, percentages, area circumference, volume and densities is required. Also, the ability to apply the concepts of statistics and probability is necessary.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to interpret various reports and other forms of documentation that are furnished in written, oral or diagram form is required.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance. Specific vision abilities include close-up and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

    Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally performs near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme cold or heat. The noise level in the work environment id considered moderate.

    EDUCATIONAL/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • High School Diploma. Degree preferred.

  • Minimum 2 yrs. Recent experience in manufacturing leadership/ supervisory position

  • Shipping & Loading background preferred.

  • Must adhere to all company safety policies.

  • Exposure to 6S & Continuous Improvement programs preferred.

  • Quality driven

  • Excel/Word experience preferred.
