We have turned the corner on Covid and it is a new day!i Why not start your new day with a new job?!i Carry-On Trailer in Missouri Valley, Iowa is in need of applicants to join our Maintenance Team!i Hourly rate will depend on experience.i We offer insurance and benefits, 401K and we are curretnly offering a $1,000 hiring bonus!i Carry-On Trailers, built with pride in Missori Valley since 1997.SummaryiiCarry-On Trailer is seeking applicants to join our Maintenance Department.i The successful candidate will be able to work on a variety of machines and systems to keep our plant and machinery operational.i Hourlyirate toibe determined based on experience.iEssential Duties and Responsibilities iPartner with Maintenance Manager to prioritize attention to equipment for repairs, and preventative maintenance.Work with Maintenance Manager to ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, hoists and other production machinery; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufactureris instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instrumentsControls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring complianceMaintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and suppliesMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulationsPerform routine maintenance on machines like forklifts, hysters and scissor liftsThere could be frequent overtime as we provide maintenance for a large plant.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications iThe successful candidate will be able to proficiently perform each of the duties listed above.i Team member will be evaluated on the ability to perform the duties listed above.Language skills iThe ability to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, diagrams and service manuals.i The ability to understand instructions in English or Spanish is helpful.Physical Demands iThe physical demands for this position include, but are not limited to:While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.i Employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.i Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance.i The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.i Specific vision abilities by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.iWork Environment iThe work environment characteristics could be, but are not limited to:The employee will be standing for most of the work day.i Temperature will vary with the outside temperature.i The employee could be exposed to risk of electrical shock.i The employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts.i The noise level in the work environment is loud.ii There is risk of personal injury involved with the job.Education and/or Experience iA high school diploma or GED is required to hold this position. iPrior experience is preferred but not required.iDirect questions to James Daro at (712) 642-4300, X3150 - OR -
