The IVH (Iowa Veterans Home) is looking to hire a Print Shop Coordinator (Reproduction Equipment Operator 2) to assist the state.
This position is responsible for the daily operation of the Print Shop and coordination of jobs/workload based on customer requests and deadlines. Includes operation of reproduction equipment to produce single- or multicolor copies via hard (paper) original or as electronic file sent from computer to appropriate printer. Process all printing requests by deadlines while monitoring machinery for quality reproduction. Average 1,100,000 copies per year.
Knowledgeable in programming and set up of features on the copiers/printers in order to provide the highest quality reproduction and most efficient operation. Specific jobs include: facility signage, tab printing, enlargement/reduction, margin shift, chapter/page insertion (up to 5 pages specified). Set up, operate, provide basic troubleshooting and call for service on Production and Wide Format Printers, Duplo folder, GBC binding machines, Pitney Bowes mailing machine, Titan 200 electronic guillotine cutter, MBM folder/perforator, Challenge drill presses, GBC laminator, and padding press.
Maintain inventory of office supplies, envelopes, forms, paper stock, etc. Prepare purchase orders for all office and chart supplies, paper and envelopes that are distributed out of the Print Shop allowing necessary lead time for arrival of supplies prior to becoming exhausted. Reproduce forms supply as needed. Maintain purchase records and prepare monthly departmental charge report for budget office. Maintain inventory list and complete a physical inventory each fiscal year. Also responsible for sort and distribution of mail.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Experience equal to two years of any combination of recognized training and full-time work in the operation and maintenance of offset and/or digital xerography reproduction equipment;
employees with current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to eighteen months of full time work as a Reproduction Equipment Operator 1.
