Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities summary include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

This position is responsible for troubleshooting and maintain a variety of mechanical/electrical equipment including air compressors, repair rollers, chains, bearings, install seals, sprockets, chillers, gearboxes, pumps, fans, valves, motors, extruders, dies, grinders, winders, bag machines and various other support equipment of this plant. Uses full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection before start of a job. Is proficient at using electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions. Starts up and shuts down equipment in line with company safety procedures for equipment under power and OSHA guidelines. Must be available for working overtime, weekends, on call and shutdown.

This position requires demonstration of strong mechanical and electrical skills including programming logic control (PLC) systems. Will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoots, and correct all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic malfunctions on production equipment. Engineers/modifies PLC logic, HMI screens and instrumentation/controls as needed to improve reliability and performance. Must be able to perform these duties independent of direct technical supervision.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the applicable candidate must be a team player and able to make decisions under pressure with a cross-functional team of individuals.

PLC knowledge (preferably Allen Bradley, Siemens), Relay Logic, AC and DC drives and other control system components.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize different projects and work load

Must be self-motivated and productive with minimal supervision

Ability of troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing electrical/mechanical malfunctions.

Must be able to read and comprehend electrical schematic and mechanical drawings including ladder diagrams and how they relate to the sequence of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.

Must be proficient in troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing oil circulating and water heating units.
