We are seeking to hire a Research Associate Investigator in the area of molecular analysis for regulatory bio-safety studies to support globe biotech product deregulation. You will be responsible for conducting scientific studies and summarizing study data for the successful and timely completion of regulatory molecular product characterization studies based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) protocols.

Provides molecular support for the Regulatory Science Group, while serving as a Principal Investigator (PI) during regulatory studies.
Assists/acts as Study Director in preparation of protocols and study reports.
Works with Study Director and/or manager to plan and execute experiments for regulatory approval packages.
Adapts procedures and troubleshoots protocols, as needed, to address regulatory questions that may be specific to country, trait, and/or crop.
Manages multiple tasks, generates high quality data, and summarizes experimental results in a timely and efficient manner for Study Director and/or manager.
Maintains effective communication with group members and other appropriate teams or individuals within the company.
Manages supply needs to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the laboratory.
Performs regular safety inspections and keeps accurate records of inspection results.
Responsible for implementation of GLP Standards within the Regulatory Science Molecular Characterization Lab.
Develops and updates SOPs for procedures and equipment.
Keeps Research Manager informed of GLP compliance issues.
Works with Quality Assurance personnel to assure GLP compliance and to resolve compliance problems.
Complies with Corteva safety policy.
What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Biological Sciences or Biotechnology.
Minimum 4 years of work experience in the agricultural biotechnology industry or related scientific field.
Experience in DNA and RNA analyses (e.g. cloning, PCR, qRT-PCR, and Southern and Northern techniques, sequence analysis).
Working knowledge of GLP is essential.
Good organizational, record-keeping, and multi-tasking abilities.
Ability to meet work deadlines.
Strong computer competency in particular using bioinformatics tools.
Some proficiency in programming languages is desired.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
