Corteva Agriscience Research Associate, Integrated Assay Systems in Johnston, Iowa

Our team is seeking a candidate who will focus on conducting high-throughput insect assays, leveraging a variety of automated systems. The research associate will work with team members to evaluate samples and provide high-quality data to customers. Applicants with previous laboratory automation experience and desire a creative environment will excel in this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts laboratory experiments on insects according to protocol
Operates liquid handling robotics, microplate stacker and other high-throughput screening equipment
Develops new arthropod testing protocols, with automation as a key component
Maintains accurate and thorough records in data management system
Analyzes data and delivers it to customers in a timely manner
Excellent organization and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple groups
Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field, including entomology, biology, genetics or related biological sciences
2+ years industry experience required
Technically savvy - familiarity with or proven aptitude to learn a variety of laboratory automation platforms and a passion to explore and learn more
Hands-on experience conducting micro- or macro-organism assays
