This position could be remote in Iowa with travel as needed to our Iowa City office.
The Senior Salesforce Software Engineer will help develop ACT’s next generation of Customer Care and Client Relationship portals. This engineer will join a team using Salesforce to meet customer requirements through a combination of out of the box and custom functionality. These capabilities will enable ACT’s Client Relationship team to deliver world class support to ACT’s customers.
Typical work-related activities include:
Work as part of the Customer Care Agile team and participate in all agile activities (standups, planning, retros, etc.)
Lead the development of solutions using Salesforce fundamental concepts (application, data and security) and CRM domain knowledge (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud)
Act as a resource to others related to Salesforce Applications configuration/development
Plan, research, and coordinate work including assisting with testing, releases, and maintenance
Analyze requirements, UX Designs, Solutions and work with Business/Designers/Architects
Work across the organization with multi-disciplinary teams to develop Enterprise level solutions
Bachelor’s degree in a related area required, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Information Systems
Or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired
Certified Salesforce Developer (DEV401) is a plus
A minimum of 5 years of progressive IT experience that includes professional experience in Salesforce Applications configuration/development
Experience in configuring all aspects of Salesforce to meet business requirements
Experience in custom development of Salesforce applications using Visual Force, Apex, Lightning, Triggers
Experience in coming up with acceptable Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements with preference for standard out of the box functionality
Experience in developing Client/Server side Web Services using RESTful/Soap patterns in Salesforce
Experience in one additional technical domain in addition to Salesforce (Java, UI development, Web Services development, etc.,)
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Very strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to analyze requirements, UX Designs, Solutions and work with Business/Designers/Architects
Strong knowledge of Client/Server side Web Services using RESTful/Soap patterns in Salesforce
Strong knowledge of Salesforce, especially Visual Force, Apex, Lightning, Triggers
Results-oriented and able to work across the organization
Should be comfortable working in a rapidly transforming organization
