  • Essential Job Functions:

  • Update fire/tornado emergency checklists as changes occur.

  • Perform ergonomic evaluations.

  • Conduct workplace safety audits.

  • Identify trends in safety reports.

  • May work on safety improvements or other risk elimination activities.

  • Coach safe work practices.

  • Create and/or present safety communication content.

  • Apply root cause analysis techniques to improve safety processes and develop safety standards.

  • Participate or lead teams to cost justify, and implement new safety equipment/processes.

  • Lead projects (either assigned or identified) to improve safety of our processes

  • Participate in multiple projects at one time.

  • Other duties as assigned.

III. Education and/or Experience:

  • Completed Junior level Occupational Safety and Health curriculum in Industrial Technology or equivalent.

  • Understanding of root cause problem solving principles.

  • Understanding of ergonomic design and analysis.

  • Understanding of industrial hygiene.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
