Cargill Sweetener Refinery Team Leader in Eddyville, Iowa

JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Sweetener Refinery Team Leader will provide operational guidance and direction for all production processes for a more complex plant or multiple plants with moderate-to-high complexity. We seek an experienced professional to ensure areas of responsibilities meet standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness and financial performance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead all aspects of the overall operational management of a more complex plant and/or multiple plants, including health and safety, environmental, and production optimization leadership.

  • Lead and direct capital and operating budgets for a more complex plant and/or multiple plants.

  • Lead strategic and tactical deliverables to ensure customer and product/quality standards meet specifications.

  • Lead employee and food/feed safety program standards and goals for a more complex plant and/or multiple plants.

  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three years of supervisory experience

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, chemistry or food science
