The Engineering Manager l is responsible for Eddyville facility and CSST Terminal’s capital spending and has approval authority on all capital projects, manages return on investments, and develops both long and short-term capital spending plans. This position is responsible to maintain a long- range master plan/vision for improvement and expansion of the facility and make sure all activities in all areas of the plant align with that plan. This position works with the operating departments to solve reoccurring quality, safety, environmental and production problems and maintains oversight for natural resources and energy conservation activities at a facility level. It is responsible for facility master planning and is involved in the Manufacturing Technology (MT) and other process optimization efforts throughout the facility. This position also has responsibility for following the Management of Change (MOC) procedures and handles the engineering aspect of off-site utilities. This position acts as a laison with co-location partners and future expansion projects to ensure long term success and growth.
30% Manages base and non-base site capital portfolios for Eddyville and CSST Terminals. Reviews and approves all capital projects for all departments at Eddyville site and terminals. Develops long-term capital plans and budgets. Responsible for oversight and providing resource for build project budgeting, scheduling, execution, control, commissioning and hand-off.
20% Works with operations to identify opportunities and priorities. Leads, coaches, and develops capital and development engineers and allocates resources to successfully complete projects on time and in budget.
15% Work with CSST NA regional Engineering Management, BPM and Manufacturing Technology teams to support growth driven and sustainability projects.
5% Manages site Master Plan coordination to assure a sustainable infrastructure and operations environment.
10% Contributes to site-wide work culture advancement and improvements in location performance and credibility through activities relating to the Eddyville Site Leadership Team.
15% Work with product lines, existing co-locations and future growth projects to ensure success and proper infrastructure for continued growth of bio campus.
5% Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Minimum 7 years total work-related experience.
Minimum 3 years management and supervisory experience.
Minimum 3 years project management experience.
Past financial accountability for a project or project portfolio of $10MM or operations budget management experience of $10MM annually.
Demonstrated organization, leadership, communication and employee relations skills.
Previous experience with managing complexity and rapidly changing strategies
Experience with delivering results and implementing projects simultaneously for multiple product lines and departments
Skilled coach and demonstrated skills in developing others in both technical decision making and speed of execution
Demonstrated competencies in several of the key process unit operations such as evaporation, heat exchange, ion exchange, drying, etc.
Basic competencies in energy pinch analysis, food safety, Automation, Electrical and Instrumentation (AE&I), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ASME B31.3 piping design, API 650 tank construction, Management of Change (MOC), National Food Processors Association (NFPA), and National Electrical Code (NEC), Process Safety Risk Management.
Cargill’s Construction Project Management course, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) training, Cargill’s Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) course, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30 hour construction safety training, food safety training.
Demonstrated competency with Cargill’s Project Delivery Process
Working knowledge on Human Organization Performance system and tools
Completion of Cargill’s Build Project Manager’s Academy
Completion Cargilll’s PDP Project Facilitation Class
