Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking a Plant Manager for our Earlville, IA facility. This position will be responsible for managing all production and manufacturing operations.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Hire, train, lead, motivate, develop and engage the operations, maintenance and administrative staff to meet the needs of the facility.
Manage safety programs within the production and manufacturing facilities to ensure safe working conditions for all associates and compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.
Manage environmental programs within production and manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.
Manage production and manufacturing operations to ensure maximum equipment and personnel utilization.
Manage product quality to ensure customer requirements and specifications are attained.
Manage routine and preventative maintenance programs for the production and manufacturing operations to ensure efficient operation.
Manage all capital expenditures for maintenance and engineering requirements.
High School or equivalent
Bachelors degree in Agriculture or related field preferred
7+ years of operations experience. 3+ years of supervisory experience. Understanding of manufacturing technologies. Understanding of safety programs and requirements. Understanding of environmental programs and requirements. Understanding of commodity markets. Understanding of standard software applications. Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db – hearing protection required) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities. Able to use standard office equipment.
