Our Technical Support Specialists are the first point of contact for Danfoss Drives' customers and users seeking First Level support. The core of their day to day duties is to provide outstanding support for Danfoss Drives cases of low to mid complexity level.Job Responsibilities Provide general technical support to Danfoss Drives customers, primarily via phone and email, including: installation, programming, start up, spare part identification, schematics and documentation, warranty support, failure/service troubleshooting, equipment crossover, amongst others, in a fast-paced environment.Take ownership, research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve low to mid complexity cases.Handle and organize post-sales queries and claims in case management system, such as warranty claims, vetting, service dispatch, etc. Cooperate with Technical Support Engineers in cases that require it (escalation support, commissioning, service and others).Identify quality issues, collect data and report it through the appropriate avenues to ensure satisfactory hand off and resolution. When required, support equipment repair process and advise dispatched service technicians on procedures, spare parts, test procedures, etc. If required, visit customer site to perform evaluations, start up and/or repair and report on it. When required, conduct equipment repair according to the defined process, and report actions taken. Test equipment functionality, safety and other needed features. Promote and support DDS products and DrivePro service products.Take ownership of reported customer technical issues and follow problems through to resolution or warm transfer.Develop and maintain a proficient level of product, service, and industry-related knowledge.Coordinate service visits to customer site with Service Engineers when required.Support the 24/7 after-hours emergency support line in a pre-scheduled manner.Background and Skills Associate's degree in the field of Electronics Technology (or related field), or demonstrable equivalent experience in the drive and/or power electronics industry.Minimum 1 year of experience in Drives, Power Electronics or Automation industry.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.Able to adequately use test equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.Experience with PLCs and building management systems in general.Experience with basic fieldbus communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, EthernetIP).Highly tech-savvy.
