Sr. Data Center Application Engineer (WD30047526128)Senior Data Center Application Engineer This role can be performed remotely anywhere in the continental United States.What you will do* - Lead the development of a standardized (to JCI) library of design best practices to aid local branches and contractors in estimation, engineering, installation, and commissioning of Data Center controls projects.* - Design and estimate Data Center controls projects, either independently or in collaboration with local branches/contractors.* - Define and maintaining standard applications for Data Center controls.* - Drive adoption of Data Center controls best practices into local branch/contractors.* - Identify products and product features that are unique to the Data Center market and drive those needs into product development roadmaps.* - Provide direction and support to branches and contractors with regards to Data Center controls projects.How you will do it* - By effectively collaborating with Data Center project sales personnel and Data Center customers to fully understand their controls needs and expectations.* - By understanding available product technologies, design possibilities, and installation procedures and applying them to meet Data Center controls requirements.* - By working closely with the local branches to ensure Data Center controls projects are implemented according to standardized design best practices and that critical metrics, including customer satisfaction, cost, schedule, and profitability are being met.* - By providing training and support to the local branches on the standardized Data Center design best practices.QualificationsWhat we look for* - Experience in the estimation, design, and commissioning of Data Center controls projects* - Experience in designing, engineering, and programming Data Center HVAC control systems* - Ability to effectively adjust communication style to present solutions in front of customers who have a wide range of technical aptitude.* - Ability to influence others without having direct supervision authority.Who we areAt Johnson Controls, we're shaping the future to create a world that's safe, comfortable and sustainable.
