Principal Software Engineer (informal leader), remote opportunity available in Des Moines, Iowa
Do you have a passion of leading technology strategy and working in an agile environment?
If so, our corporate system support area is looking for an informal software engineer leader! You’ll work in a scrum team to design, implement, and support technical solutions with a focus on our corporate applications. You'll be a key player in driving business outcomes and innovating technology products through thought and informal leadership.
Your day will be filled with:
Supporting new and existing applications through development
Implementing solutions to expand our business functions (development, configuration, security, integration, cloud/SaaS, vendor interaction, etc.)
Collaborating with business partners and cross-discipline IT team members
Innovating and experimenting with different ideas and technologies
Providing informal leadership and mentorship to others within the team.
Providing minimal on-call support
Associate's or bachelor's degree with a preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math related field or equivalent experience (6 years of experience equates to an Associate’s degree when defining equivalent work experience).
3+ years of professional object oriented software development experience, Java preferred
Additional preferred experience:
Formal or informal leadership
Vendor integration and configuration
ETL, reporting and SQL
Ability to identify problems and build solutions for the business
Have a continual learning mentality
