Recognized as a Center of Excellence for Nutrition, Eurofins Nutrition Analysis Center specializes in analyzing feed, commodities, pet food and dietary supplements for lipids, proximates and minerals for nutrition. This laboratory is also one of only 13 Official Referee laboratories for soybean meal and oil certified by the AOCS and NOPA. It is an USDA inspected laboratory.
Eurofins Nutrition Analysis Center is searching for a Quality Assurance Assistant in Des Moines, IA.
Quality Assurance Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following*:*

  • Administrative assistance with SOP development and implementation, cGMP and GLP training, and other duties related to supporting compliance with cGMP, GLP, ISO, and company SOPs.

###

  • Performs and provides basic evaluation of statistical tests to determine the quality and accuracy of data and report values.

###

  • Maintains fully approved, scientifically sound protocols and written standard methodologies to be used in all analytical sections

###

  • Communicates clearly and concisely to management and staff both orally and in writing

###

  • Assists in the training of staff

###

  • Responsible for correct, on-going implementation of all SOPs that apply to each area of the laboratory

###

  • Works closely with local management to ensure that clients receive good, accurate service

###

  • Follows all guidelines, SOPs, and procedures of Eurofins Scientific

###

  • Maintains a perpetual state of readiness and willingness to respond to the queries and needs of clients, staff, and co-workers

###

  • Remain current on technical, industry, and business advancements and trends as suggested by the Quality Manager.

###

  • Promotes the company image through the exercising of sound and ethical business practices as related to the public and our customers

###

  • Performs other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate would possess*:*

###

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

###

  • Previous experience working in quality is a plus

###

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

###

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

###

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

###

  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications*:*

  • High school diploma required

###

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Des Moines, Iowa are encouraged to apply.
