The Current powered by GE Pricing Specialist will be responsible for driving sales and profitability for a defined product segment for a specific region by providing expert quoting and sales guidance to the Sales organization to facilitate closing business while maintaining the required sales and profitability metrics.
As the Pricing Specialist, you will:
Respond to customer RFQ's or bids in a timely and accurate manner, while maximizing revenue and optimizing profitability
Work with product management and technology to ensure that the appropriate products and most accurate costs are identified for bid opportunities
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (sales, product management, pricing, leadership, etc.) to develop successful bid tactics
Build a comprehensive understanding of the markets, suppliers, products, strategies, end users and channel partners within the fixture industry
Possess a passion to serve and assist the sales / channel partners in obtaining all the necessary information in order to create a successful price strategy
Identify areas to grow profitability and price in assigned segment
Work independently and in a cross-functional environment
Work on multiple projects simultaneously under deadline constraints, while maintaining clear thought, composure, and a positive attitude
Embrace the accountability and responsibility of having strong delegation of authority to make strategic decisions in an uncertain environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Bid / Pricing or Finance function
Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited university or college
LED knowledge in outdoor and roadway applications
LED Lighting Fixtures expertise
Business and financial acumen
Data Management and analytical skills
Data / Market Analysis capabilities
Sales experience within a lighting related industry
Effective communication in English / additional languages
Strong ability to negotiate and communicate ideas effectively
Proficient in using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
