Supports, trains and coordinates user applications for Mercy Medical Imaging computer systems including but not limited to dictation systems, RIS (radiology information systems) and PACS (picture archiving communication systems). Creates and updates documentation for customers and management. Researches and resolves problems. Logs all problems and is responsible for ensuring completion. Performs imaging exams as required.
Provides support to users on all approved computer applications and hardware, including telephone support.
Develops and maintains training programs and materials for conducting training sessions or classes. Prepares training plan, user manuals, training manuals, student workbooks and reference guides.
Supports Imaging based content conferences
Trains and coordinates education and information sharing to RIS/PACS personnel, department management, radiologists, IT, and other Medical Imaging information systems users.
Maintains ongoing technical expertise on computer products.
Performs problem determination and resolution of all aspects. This includes dictation, RIS and PACS systems, as well as procedural problems.
Communications with users and staff on problems, resolutions, etc. Performs Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including operating imaging equipment.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Work requires a professional level of knowledge of personal computer operating systems, software applications and various training methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, or experience equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a four-year college program. A minimum of 4 years of experience in teaching adult learning programs is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, experience with medical imaging interfaces and computer hardware is desirable.
