AFNA makes flexible packaging solutions for food and beverage, healthcare, and home and personal care applications.Job DescriptionROLE OVERVIEWSupervise the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department. Provide technical and process support focusing on quality and process improvement, cost reduction, safety enhancement and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Implement PM plan and schedule to maximize machine uptime and production availability.WHAT YOU GET TO DOSupervise maintenance employees on a day to day basis.Coordinate preventative maintenance programs and effectively schedule maintenance staff to meet the demands of production.Ensure maintenance staff utilizes safe work practices including but not limited to LOTO, hot work, confined space, use of proper PPE and maintaining adherence to safety training standards.Determine machine repair priority through communication with production, technical and quality departments.Troubleshoot daily production and process problems; communicate with operations, quality, and technical departments regarding manufacturing problems; investigate root causes, help develop and implement corrective actions.Identify, develop and manage process improvement projects specifically aimed at improving operational efficiencies (waste, productivity, costs). This includes the ongoing development and training of required methods and procedures.Effective interpersonal communication and team skills. This includes but is not limited to; properly completing written maintenance logs and/or maintenance reports, the ability to verbally convey effective instructions and descriptions of situations or conditions in the work environment to others, communicate effectively with employees to resolve production/ safety issues concerning equipment and the plant.Treats safety as a value, ensuring that all requirements and procedures are followed.Willing to work with production personnel to accomplish production priorities and determine the proper course of action relative to equipment, scheduling and safety.Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System for scheduling daily activities.Familiar with daily lean management principles and an ability to utilize metrics to improve team performance.WHAT WE WANT FROM YOUBachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or 2 year technical degree and adequate experience in a related field.2 -5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environ
