Overview

Kemin Industries is seeking an IT Help Desk Support Analyst II responsible forproviding customer support and maintenance within the corporate computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading varying types of equipment and PC hardware and software to ensure optimal performance. The IT Help Desk Support Analyst 2 will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, via e-mail and remote desktop).

What you’ll do:

  • Answer phone calls from customers.

  • Maintain proper documentation and organization of their assigned tickets.

  • Install, configure, test and troubleshoot customer equipment, including but not limited to computers, monitors, hard drives, laptops, printers and phone equipment.

  • Install all types of software on various devices.

  • Identify recurrent problems and help customers resolve them.

  • Collaborate with Network Administrators and other IT personnel to ensure efficient operation of the desktop computing environment.

  • Prepare and ship computer equipment to remote offices.

  • Recommend documentation or procedures for installations or other job related items.

  • Research, understand, participate and contribute to the goals and mission of the IT Department and the company.

  • Perform all responsibilities of this position while continually presenting a positive and professional example for the rest of the team and the company.

  • Set priorities for day-to-day support tasks allowing them to meet SLA targets

What we require of you:

  • US: Undergraduates Degree with 2-4 years of experience OR Associates Degree with 3-5 years of experience OR H. S. Diploma with 7-10 years of experience; candidates whom possess less experince may be considered as an Support Analyst I

  • Experience supporting higher level systems (HR, Accounting, Inventory Management, etc.)

  • Experience working with ERP systems is a plus

  • Self-starter, customer oriented, team player, have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work well independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient with Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems

  • Proficient with all Microsoft Applications within the Office 365 suite

  • Proficient with PC hardware

  • Proficient with PC imaging technologies

  • Ability to train users at different skill levels

  • Experience with networking and connectivity

  • Experience with active directory administration

  • Experience with help desk ticketing software

  • Experience with incident troubleshooting and escalation

  • Possess effective prioritization and project management skills

Responsibilities

This full-time Help Desk Support Analyst 2 is responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading varying types of equipment and PC hardware and software to ensure optimal performance. The Technician will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, via e-mail and remote desktop) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide customer assistance as required.

Qualifications

US: Undergraduate Degree with 2-4 years of experience or Associate Degree with 3-5 years of experience or H.S. Diploma with 7-10 years of experience

Europe: National degree with 3-5 years of experience

Asia: Associates degree with 3-5 years of experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

PHYSICAL EFFORT NEEDED:

Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. (25 kilos). May be required to climb stairs and ladders. May be required crawl or kneel to place equipment under or around desks.

Working Conditions:The position is based at Kemin Industries in Des Moines, Iowa. The exempt level position is considered to be 40 hours per week, but requires flexibility in work times is required for occasional on-call, nightm and weekend work. Minimal travel, although some domestic and international travel is possible.
