Principal Infrastructure Engineer (Automation Focused) in Des Moines, Iowa

Automate, Automate, Automate! Workspace Services is looking for a curious, DevSecOps engineer to help advance our technologies, services, and DevSecOps practices. We are seeking someone with savvy technical capability, an instinct to continue to grow & learn, and a passion for solving problems!

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other engineers to automate and deliver software and cloud-based solutions that contribute to a fabulous employee experience.

Here are few examples of things you’ll do:

  • Exposed to a variety of complex people, process, and technology problems related to employee workspace and cloud technologies, ranging from physical and virtual endpoints to cloud-based collaboration tools to telephony and audio/video conferencing technologies

  • Automate solutions to accelerate our adoption of cloud technologies, e.g. Microsoft O365 productivity suite.

  • Automate configuration compliance auditing and reporting for devices, infrastructure, and/or cloud platforms.

  • Develop understanding of technical aspects of infrastructure management functions including performance, capacity, scalability, recovery, maintenance and security.

  • Automate infrastructure and device provisioning, configurations, and operations.

  • Integrate cloud and on premises technologies.

  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field)

  • Programming, scripting, or general automation experience (we use PowerShell and .NET often)

  • Planning, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required

  • DevOps experience preferred (ex: Github and CI/CD pipelines)

Additional preferred technical experience:

  • Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS

  • Security engineering mentality
