Client Support Administrator

General Purpose of Job:
The Client Support Administrator is the first point of contact for technical support within the IT Department. This includes providing customer service and technical troubleshooting for all computers, printing and audio-visual technologies on campus. They will also manage the flow of support tickets to the appropriate resource when required. While an advanced level of general computing knowledge is desirable, a basic level of knowledge paired with a willingness and ability to learn new technical skills is required.
Essential Functions of Job:
Primary administrator for Help Desk system software.
Hire, train and manage student workers to cover the Help Desk.
Respond to Help Desk tickets via phone, email and walk-ups for faculty, staff and students.
Provide customer service and technical troubleshooting for all user accounts, campus computers, Office 365 and classroom technologies on campus.
Provide primary support for printers and copiers.
Assist the Desktop Support Engineer with managing Windows desktop, Apple Mac-s and classroom technology.
Regularly assist IT Staff with technical tasks and projects.
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned by the CIO.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Five to seven years of experience supporting Windows, Mac OS, MS Office and workstation hardware.
Self-starter, strong work ethic, highly organized and detail oriented.
Balance multiple priorities and projects working both independently and as part of a team.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly grasp new skills and technologies.
Communicate clearly and concisely through oral and written communication to non-technical individuals.
This position requires frequent walking between campus buildings in all weather conditions.
This position requires require carrying, pushing or pulling heavy objects weighing 30 lbs. or more.
Regular bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and reaching.
