• 5+ years experience in a AWS DevOps, Infrastructure, Cloud environment
• Experience with high availability distributed infrastructure
• Experience building & maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CodeDeploy, CloudFront, S3)
• Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments & meet compliance requirements
• Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration
• Strong Unix shell experience for setting up environments and deploying applications
• Experience with infrastructure as code
AWS Cloud Operations Infrastructure Configuration and Data Support Lead will have the business and technical acumen to collaborate across technical and business teams to manage, monitor, report, analyze, and audit AWS Cloud infrastructure, services, and data.
This role will be responsible for understanding the technical architecture and technical uses for the assets and services within the AWS cloud environment. This role will have a strong technical background in AWS and a data center environment and be able to make recommendations on AWS services and configuration in conjunction with the Cloud Architect. The role will also monitor and manage the consumption based AWS infrastructure assets and services in the AWS cloud environment with emphasis on activities such as asset and data tagging; managing changes, additions or removals of assets or services; analyzing large sets of infrastructure data; validating the accuracy of the assets and data; creating detailed asset inventory reports, creating financial reports for the assets and services, optimizing the usage of the services both technically and financially, making recommendations and what if scenarios for cost savings and billing, documenting detailed processes, developing daily, weekly, monthly reporting and presenting material at an executive level within the organization.
Maintain a detailed technical understanding of the architecture, assets, and services being used in an AWS environment
Manage the configuration of the AWS infrastructure and services to include servers, storage, databases, security, network, software, data, services
Monitor and manage any requests for additions, removals or changes to the cloud environment
Document any changes to the cloud environment including architectural diagrams, reports, processes or procedural documents
Provide detailed daily, weekly, monthly operational reports on the cloud infrastructure environment
Provide detailed financial and billing reports on the assets and services being used in the cloud environment and validate for accuracy and research discrepancies using structured and detailed approach
Integrate cloud asset data with other systems and tools where necessary and validate for accuracy i.e. CMDB, CI/CD, Patching, Incidents, Security
Participate in technical planning sessions to appropriately forecast future needs for capacity or optimization of AWS assets/services
Develop and implement detailed documentation, presentations, audit and quality assurance processes
Analyze workflow and operational procedures to identify opportunities for improvements to ensure all assets, data, and services are captured, recorded, processed and billed in an accurate and timely manner.
Must have 3-5 years of AWS cloud technical experience in a hosting environment
Experience with Public Cloud Migrations and Transformations
Experience with AWS Cloud Services
Experience with Managed Container Services (ECS, EKS, and Fargate)
Must have a strong Technical infrastructure architecture background with experience supporting virtual servers, storage, network, databases and security tools
Strong communication skills and ability to put presentations together to present to executive level
Experience managing assets, data validation and detailed reporting
Experience developing AWS financial reports, billing, and analysis of costs and inventory
Excellent Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups) with the ability to analyze large data sets, create financial models and simplify complex data
Experience using database/data correlation tools (i.e. Tableau) and ability to correlate data quickly
Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail
Sound business judgment and proven track record of taking ownership, leading data backed analyses
Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization

High Risk Public Trust or Secret Clearance preferred.
Ability to obtain High Risk Public Trust 6C is required

Colorado Salary Minimum: $111,217.60
Colorado Salary Maximum:$237,744.00
