The Application Systems Engineer (ASE) 5 is part of the CORE Closing/Funding and Admin/Task Management team within the Consumer Lending Technology Group. The ASE 5 role will act as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, particularly in the area of Application Design, System Integration, Widgets and Application scalability and Resource refactoring, based on utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. In addition, this individual will work with technical leads, Architects, business analysts, system and process analysts, DBA's, infrastructure and other cross-department teams to evaluate business needs and provide end-to-end technical solutions.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyzing highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign CORE Application components and leveraging Industry Standards and best practices in Application Architecture and development.

  • Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives.

  • Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.

  • Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.

  • Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing.

  • Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.

  • Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.

This position will be based at the Wells Fargo site location in either Charlotte NC, Phoenix AZ or Des Moines IA­­­­­­­­­. Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience

  • 4+ years of JavaEE experience

  • 3 + years of AngularJS experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
