Eaton Corporation Supply Chain Site Leader in Davenport, Iowa
Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Site Manager to join our team.
The Supply Chain Site Manager is responsible for:
Leading the business unit’s overall Supplier Management strategy and performance. The role has responsibility for all Business Unit procurement tasks, defining and implementing robust purchasing and sourcing strategies to support the business’ goals and working in close cooperation with Integrated Product Leaders, Operations Leaders. Lead the team of best in class procurement professionals to continuously improve the delivery of materials from suppliers on time to need, the quality of materials and services procured, and the cost of our products in a compliant procurement system. This position is located in Davenport, IA.
In this role you will:
Assume ownership and accountability supply chain teams, processes and performance, from strategic planning to tactical operations.
Lead the deployment of strategic sourcing plans in the BU.
Develop and execute supplier management strategies to ensure on-time delivery of parts with highest quality and lowest cost.
Provide leadership, development opportunities, and managerial oversight to the Supply Chain teams, setting clear objectives; managing performance; developing skills and competencies.
Foster a culture of procurement excellence, maintaining policy and standards and innovating to create and achieve best practices.
Identify gaps in functional competencies and close those gaps through organization design, team and individual development, recruitment and training.
Establish standard work and attainment of KPIs (leading and lagging).
Continuous improvement of Procurement processes.
Ensure all business practices, contract flow downs, and responsible procurement activities are conducted in a compliant manner.
Manage major subcontracts and project procurement activity.
Draw upon the expertise of the Legal, Contracts and Commercial team, ensure that we have robust supply chain contracts that facilitate effective performance and mitigate risk.
Ensure material supply is in balance with demand plan to manage working capital.
Direct supplier development personnel to qualify & develop suppliers, improve quality performance, manage supplier rating system & report cards. Developing suppliers to enable new product development.
Develop partnerships and tactical procurement relationships that enable the achievement of cost, lead time and quality goals to support our customer deliveries.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor degree from an accredited institution.
7+ years of experience in sourcing or purchasing roles.
5+ years of leadership experience developing organizations and managing people.
5+ years of experience of negotiating long term complex supplier agreements.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Bachelor degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field
Master’s degree – MBA, Procurement Management, Supply Chain Management or related field
10+ years of experience in sourcing or purchasing roles in mechanical industries (ideally aerospace).
Appreciation of planning and scheduling / production control systems and processes - experience with MRPII is desirable.
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
Demonstrated record of successful cost reduction, inventory control and operational efficiency.
Demonstrated record of Building Organizational Capabilities and developing talent.
Skill with influencing internal and external stakeholders, including executive management, to achieve the initiative objectives.
CIPS Master Practitioner or regional equivalent preferred (i.e. APICS and/or NAPM affiliation / certification (CPIM, CPM); Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM); Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM))
