Humana Lead Technology Leader Professional - Modernization Readiness Leader (Remote - US) in Davenport, Iowa

The leader will lead the Application Modernization to deliver on programs managing internal organization capabilities and process interrelate across departments, people leadership skills, and extensive software engineering delivery experience.

Responsibilities

In support of Humana's vision to create simple, personalized and reliable experience for our healthcare customers, we are embarking on the application Modernization and Cloud Migration journey.

We are looking for a Technology Leader primarily responsible for the application teams' readiness for modernization and cloud transformation. The role is a highly visible and demands a proven expertise managing transformation with focus on agility and speed to value while maintaining high standards of customer service and overall engagement success for the Cloud program.

The Technology leader works with solution engineering, security, architecture and platform teams to drive transformation from readiness assessment to production cutover/release. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks and works under minimal supervision. Leverages business and technology expertise requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

The leader responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Managing scope, priorities, and conflicts, resolve challenges and negotiate requests, monitor and assess all work in progress including work quality, best practices and methodologies.

  • Establishing readiness assessment frameworks, requirements, monitoring and reporting.

  • Driving and/or coordinating implementation of modernization readiness assessment and readiness paths.

  • Communicating and coordinating with various levels of IT and business associates.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • 3+ years of project or product leadership experience leading complex initiatives

  • Proven experience in technology transformation leadership

  • Experience in talent assessment and transformational upskilling

  • Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle

  • Proven experience with Agile development methodologies

  • Experience facilitating cross-functional teams' efforts

  • Experience documenting processes and development artifacts

  • Transformational mind and design thinking ability to see how parts interact as the whole (big picture thinking) along with implementation experience

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud knowledge. Cloud certificates are highly preferred.

  • Experience with the technologies in use in the application(s) or infrastructure

  • Prior project architect and/or team lead experience

  • Knowledge of the Agile, DevOps culture and principles.
